4th quarter, blog 5

Poor David fights his hunger everyday, he talks about how his mom would starve him every time they would call her from his school about the bruises and his torn clothes. David talked about
how they visited the Russian river and it wasn't the fun and exciting trip it used to be, his other brothers and his dad went to a new slide that was built there and he was forced to stay back with his mom and his mom shoved his face in his new little brothers diapers, What kind of mother can do that to her son, that's so sad. David was so hungry he would steal food from his classmates lunch bags, he soon got caught and came up with a plan to run to the grocery store and back before recess was over, what a plan. I'm on page 70.

4th quarter, blog #4

Poor David explains how his family used to be the perfect family, they used to take trips, spent quality time with each other and do many things. One day he says she changed from disciplining him to punishing him. She started to just lay on the couch drinking in her robe and some days she'd get up and do her make up. She started to his David and do things like smash his face into a mirror. She would make things up just to beat him, David's mom broke his arm and insisted he'd say that he fell off his bunk bed. how sad, Im now on chapter 4.

4th quarter, blog #3

I started the book A Child Called It that was recommended to me by Mrs. Lewis in the library and it's a great book so far, I've read 30 pages already and so far the boy starts off by saying he gets abused by his druken mother and he goes to school and the principals and teachers know and he gets called into an office and is taken away by the police. He's so scared that he begs to be taken back home because of his mom found out he'd get the worst beating ever. it's pretty sad that a young boy is going through something like this. I can't wait to keep reading

4th quarter, Blog #2

So I finally finished the book go Ask Alice, it took me forever to finish but I must say it was a great book. Again I must say I loved that the book was written in a diary form. For someone like me who doesn't like to read I would recommend this book to any young adult. Thank You again Fatima for recommending it to me :)

Blog 1, 4th quarter

So I'm still reading Go Ask Alice but I'm just about finished I'm on page 200 and I don't want the book to end :(  poor Alice is going through the worst things. She is a full blown drug addict and doesn't know what to do with her life, she is currently in California living with some "friends" who do the same drugs she does. She desperately misses home but is ashamed to go back. Throughout the book you can see how she would first talk and act through her words and now you can see a complete change she talks different and had a completely different mind set. After this book I plan on reading another comic book to catch up with all the books I need to read.

Blog 5, 3rd quarter

In her diary August 27th she writes that she is not pregnant and the happiest girl in the world right now. Her parents are very worried about her since she came back from her grandparents house they say that she has been acting weird and doing different things like straightening her hair. She finally feels like she's doing good for herself she got a job and she feels so accomplished because now she's one of the most popular girls at her school.

blog 4, 3rd quarter

So she wrote in her diary today that she is no longer a virgin and the boy she had sex with is 15 years old. She said she had always pictured sex as being boring and a one minutes thing but she explains that she was on speed when she had done it so it felt like the best thing ever. She finally goes back home but she's been sick. She's been worrying about what if she is pregnant and what she's going to do about it.
